Mission Statement

NPeaches is a web based comedy network. We create comedy shows on a platform that we’ve created and maintain ourselves. Beyond that we are platform that uses our entertainment and programming as a public service for the benefit of free culture, social justice and artistic integrity. All of our content is freely available to not only stream, but to download, remix, and re-distribute. We also take action in other ways such as community outreach in schools and other public spaces. We make use of our skills as film production artists, comedians and directors to help promote the arts as vehicle for social change and promote free expression.

History

2007-2008

Founded by Igor Zhukovsky and Ernie Zahn, NPeaches began as Niente Peaches, a blogspot blog for funny articles and updates on Niente: The Movie (now Charlie Christ). Ernie and Igor were the primary bloggers. Igor’s comedy styling coupled with his web promotion efforts dramatically increased the readership of the blog. As content grew and more people joined Niente Peaches, Igor and Ernie expanded Niente Peaches into full web site with original videos and web comics.

2009-2010

Following Igor’s passing, many of his friends and family sought to help complete the film Charlie Christ which quickly became viewed as Igor’s legacy. Among the people to step up was Harry Wolff who offered his skills as a web designer to help maintain and advance Niente Peaches. Harry and Ernie began developing the site and its direction on a new platform, a self-hosted WordPress. The site truly came into it’s own at this point. Soon after, more writers and contributors came on board making Niente Peaches into a comedy group.

Today

Now renamed, NPeaches, the site serves as a comedy network with video shows and other projects. Each show is independently produced with NPeaches acting as a fiscal supporter and central distribution point.

We are still growing but our direction is clear. We are non-commercial, so the content is driven by the desire to say something important and funny without having our mind on the dollar. We are not just a network but we are a community. And our story isn’t finished!
